Joyce Yoder, LSW
My name is Joyce Yoder, and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in PA with over
twenty years of experience in hospice, medical social work, and bereavement support. I
am certified as an advanced hospice and palliative social worker (APHSW-C) and
specialize in the areas of grief and loss, end-of-life, and life transitions. I also hold a
master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling (MAPC) and offer the opportunity for clients to
utilize their spirituality as a strength when engaging in therapy. My experience also
includes hospital and hospice chaplaincy, supporting clients in a variety of settings from
trauma to end-of-life.
None of us is exempt from experiencing loss and difficulties in life, and I seek to support
clients from a strengths-based, person-centered, and faith-based approach, walking
with them when life can often feel overwhelming and uncertain. I bring a gentle and
calming, non-judgmental and supportive presence, inviting clients to unload their
burdens so they can begin to regain their strengths and move forward with new insight
and clarity. I also try to help clients understand and realize the importance of self-care
when navigating life’s complexities.
I am here to support you with compassion, empathy, and encouragement as you seek
to work through difficult transitions in your life. I would be honored to accompany you on
your journey toward healing.
