Quira Santos, MA, LPC

Hi, I’m Quira Santos! I’m a Master’s-level clinician and Licensed Professional Counselor
with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.
I’ve been passionate about psychology and mental health since 2016, and I feel incredibly grateful
to do work that allows me to support people in understanding themselves more deeply and
creating lives that feel authentic to who they are.
I work primarily with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma,
life transitions, identity exploration, and the complexities of intimacy. I especially enjoy
working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of the Global Majority and those with
marginalized identities, and neurodivergent individuals. As a queer, neurodivergent
woman myself, I understand the importance of having a space where you don't have to
explain, minimize, or hide parts of yourself to feel understood. I am also sex-positive and
kink-affirming, and I welcome conversations about sexuality, intimacy, relationships, and
the unique questions or challenges that can come with them.

My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and transparent. I have an eclectic therapeutic
style, drawing from psychodynamic, CBT and ACT modalities, while holding a trauma-informed
and anti-oppressive lens. I’m interested not only in what is happening right now, but also in
the experiences, relationships, identities, and larger systems that have shaped how you
understand yourself and move through the world. Therapy with me is not about fitting you
into a specific framework, it’s about working together to understand what you need and
finding approaches that actually feel useful to you.

Therapy doesn't always have to feel so serious. I value humor, lightheartedness, and the
ability to laugh together when it feels right. I want you to be able to swear, laugh, cry,
question things, or show up exactly as you are without feeling like you need to censor
yourself. I show up authentically in the therapy room, and I invite you to do the same.
My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and
supported as you explore who you are, what you’ve experienced, and what you want
your life to look like moving forward.
